Sharing Time Agenda

We split up our Junior and Senior Primary. Below is the agenda we use so that whoever is conducting knows the schedule and what announcements to make.

We do talks on the 2nd and 4th Sundays, scripture on the 1st and 5th Sundays and on the 3rd Sunday, one of the Bishopric comes in to do Sharing Time, so we don't have a talk or scripture so they have more time to speak.

It is uploaded as a .doc so that you can change it to however you like.

I'd love to hear how others do their sharing times, so comment below!

Families Are Forever Zipper Pulls

So, these zipper pulls are totally cute and my vision is that the kids will put these on their backpacks and perhaps have a couple of missionary moments explaining what it means!

These are so easy to make and the cost per pull is about $.96 (I made 50 for $48.13; the more you make, the lower the per pull cost will be). The cheapest I could find these already made were $1.50, so this is a steal!

I will give you all the links on where to buy the supplies and tell you how to make them! (Side note: my Amazon links will credit my affiliate account; I have no affiliation with the Etsy links).

You will need:
  1. 1" flat bottle cap zipper pulls (Etsy)
  2. Epoxy Stickers (the above link sells the stickers with the zipper pulls)
  3. 1" hole punch (Amazon)
  4. E6000 craft adhesive (Amazon)
  5. Digital Images (I bought neutral and girl colors; but the seller offers other colors too) (Etsy)
  6. With the digital images, you will have to make a 4x6 picture at Walgreens, Sam's Club, etc. (not at Target or CVS as their ink tends to run with the adhesive)
    1. NOTE: Make sure the picture is sized correctly so that the top row of images is not cut off.
Once you get all of your supplies, you will:
  1. Punch out your images
  2. Peel off the epoxy sticker (make sure you don't touch the sticky surface or your fingerprints will be immortalized on the zipper pull forever!)
  3. Put the punched out image on the sticky part so that the image shows through the front.
  4. Smooth out any bubbles with a credit card.
  5. Put a pea sized amount of the E6000 adhesive on the bottle cap.
  6. Place the epoxy sticker with image on the glue dollop and move it around so that the glue gets spread everywhere.
  7. Let it sit for 24 hours and you are DONE!
How easy was that?!?!?! So easy and so cute! It kills two birds with one stone--reminding the kids of this year's theme AND as a missionary tool! You can't ask for anything more for just $.96!!!

Happy Crafting!

2014 Primary Lesson Schedule

I found this original spreadsheet on Pinterest. I have updated/fixed it. The highlighted lessons are just so that you can be aware that they are not in numerical order. I tried to correlate holidays with lesson plans (besides the Christmas/Easter lessons).

Also, I have uploaded it as an Excel spreadsheet so that you can modify it to your needs (ie Stake Conferences).

ENJOY!

Primary 2014 Assignment Cards

As the secretary in Primary, the end/beginning of the year is always a busy one as I prepare for the upcoming year.

The assignment cards (ie talks, scriptures, prayers) are the bane of my existence! So, I have created the full year of assignment cards to help ease someone else's pain :)

I forgot to add my contact information if parents have any questions, so I'm going to print out address labels with that info and stick it to the back of the card.

I also think I'm going to staple the card to a headband for the Junior Primary as papers never seem to make it the parents--that way, the kids will have to wear it on their head and hopefully the parents will see the assignment!
